WHAT IS PROJECT CELEBRATION 2009?

Project Celebration is a nation-wide program endorsed by the Texas Department of Transportation.  It provides our Seniors and their guests with an all night drug and alcohol-free event filled with games, fun, and prizes.  It is held after the Prom at The Main Event from 12:00 midnight to 6:00 a.m.  The after-Prom event is the responsibility of the senior parents.  Seniors do not have to go to the Prom to attend the Project Celebration Event.
All Seniors are encouraged to attend!

Project Celebration is also responsible for the Senior Breakfast, Senior Video, and the Promenade before the Prom.  Project Celebration parent volunteers work for years to raise the money for all of these activities.  If any funds are leftover from these projects, funds will be donated to the Class of 2009 scholarships and/or the Class Gift for the school.  Get involved and join us in this final walk to graduation.

What is the Senior Promenade?

The prom theme this year is “A Moment in Time.”  Corinne Breshears and Joy Powell are planning to continue that theme to the Promenade before the Prom.  Senior parents are in charge of this unique Aledo community tradition, Senior Promenade, which is held at 6:00 p.m., just before the Prom on Friday, May 22, 2009.

The Promenade is like the red carpet photo and interview opportunity held before the Academy Awards.  Everyone arrives at the high school cafeteria, students are announced, they stroll down the red carpet with cameras flashing, they visit with family and friends, take more pictures in front of vignettes, and then get back in their transportation to travel to downtown Fort Worth for the dinner and the dance.  It is great fun for the students and their parents, family, and friends to see everyone dressed in their best.
